I became a nationally-certified massage therapist in 1995 in the San Francisco Bay Area. After several years of practice, I wanted to improve my clinical skill and was fortunate to study with Tom Hendrickson, D.C. in Berkeley, CA from 1998-2000 and subsequently became a Certified Practitioner of Hendrickson Method of Orthopedic Massage. I expanded my clinical skills in neuromuscular therapy with Paul St. John's Integrative Neurosomatic Therapy Institute and with Doug Nelson's Precision Neuromuscular Therapy.
Since 2015, I've been certified by Nutritious Movement as a Restorative Exercise Specialist. I completed training as a Functional Range Conditioning Coach in 2018. I trained with Jules Mitchell (biomechanist, yoga teacher) and certified as an Advanced Yoga Teacher with 500 hours in February 2019.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in French and Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and a Culinary Arts Associates Degree from Santa Cruz Community College in Santa Cruz, CA. Since 2012, I’ve taught Anatomy and Physiology for yoga students in teacher training at Kali Yuga Yoga Studio in East Nashville.
